What's changing in Cardie's terms and privacy policy
Mapraow Labs Pte. Ltd. · En vigor desde: on acceptance in the Cardie app · Última actualización: 1 November 2026
Este documento está en inglés, que es la versión que aplica.
Cardie has grown since May: live rounds with GPS, watch apps, shots and clubs, AI connectors, a web app, and a new way to pay for Pro. Our terms and privacy policy now cover all of it. Two things haven't changed: your data is yours, and we don't sell it or pass it to outside advertising platforms.
What's new
- Live rounds and GPS. During a live round, Cardie uses your location, including in the background, for distances, hole detection and shot recording. The App asks the first time you start a live round, and you control it in your device settings. We don't store a trail of where you've been, only what the round needs, such as where each shot started and finished.
- Watches and Apple Health. The Apple Watch and Wear OS apps can save your round as a workout to your own Apple Health or Health Connect. That health data goes to your Health app, not to Cardie.
- Shots, clubs and your bag. Shots are saved with their start and end points and the club you used. Anyone who can see a round also sees its longest recorded shot, as a distance and club. Your bag can be set up from a photo of your clubs, which an AI provider reads; we delete the photo within 30 days. Signed-in golfers can see which clubs you carry, and golfers in a private group with you can also see lofts and set distances.
- Connect Cardie to your AI app. You can connect Claude, ChatGPT or another AI app. It can use Cardie's connector tools and nothing else in your account. What it reads goes to the AI company you chose, under that company's terms. Disconnect any time in the web app under Profile → Connected apps.
- The web app. Sign in at app.cardie.golf to manage connected apps and to download all your data at any time.
- Cardie Pro under the new pricing. You get 5 free personal rounds, and event rounds are always free. After that, Pro is a monthly or yearly subscription through the App Store or Google Play. It renews automatically until you cancel, and it may come with a free trial or introductory price. All your saved rounds stay visible, with or without Pro.
- Anonymous course statistics. Your rounds help build anonymous course statistics, shown to golfers, AI tools and clubs. A figure appears only once a course has at least 20 rounds from at least 5 golfers, and nobody can see your rounds in it.
- Club offers (optional). If you turn it on, golf clubs can show you offers in Cardie, picked using your last round and location. Clubs never learn who you are. It's off unless you switch it on.
- Who handles your data. We now set out each type of service provider, what it receives and where it is, and how transfers outside Singapore are protected.
- Our website. New Website Terms of Use and a Cookie Notice. Google Analytics runs on the site only if you accept.
- Handicap. The Cardie handicap is modelled on the World Handicap System™ method. It's still not an official handicap, and Cardie isn't affiliated with the USGA or The R&A.
What you need to do
Nothing yet. After you update to Cardie 2.0, the App shows Updated terms the next time you open it. Review them, choose your settings (including the new, optional Club offers), and continue. Until then, the version you accepted keeps applying.
If you don't agree, you can delete your account in Settings, and cancel Pro in your App Store or Google Play settings. Questions: privacy@cardie.golf.
