Terms of Service

Mapraow Labs Pte. Ltd.

These terms of service ("Terms") govern your use of the Cardie mobile application ("the App") operated by Mapraow Labs Pte. Ltd. ("Cardie," "we," "us," or "our"). By signing in and using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

This document is written in English as the authoritative version. Translations are provided for convenience; in case of any conflict, this English version governs.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to use Cardie. By signing in with Apple or Google, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. If we become aware that a user is under 16, we will terminate their account and delete their data.

2. Your Account

2.1 Registration

You sign in to Cardie using Apple Sign In or Google Sign In. You are responsible for maintaining access to the account associated with your sign-in provider. Cardie does not offer password-based registration.

2.2 Accuracy

You agree to provide accurate information. If you use Cardie for handicap tracking or competitions, your account should represent a single real person — you, the golfer.

2.3 Account Security

You are responsible for all activity under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us at support@cardie.golf.

3. The Service

Cardie is a mobile platform for amateur golfers. The core features include:

• Scan — Photograph a physical scorecard and convert it to a digital round record using automated image recognition.
• Track — Maintain a history of your rounds, scores, statistics, and trends.
• Share — Generate visual round summaries for sharing.
• Handicap — After a minimum number of qualifying rounds, receive a calculated handicap index based on your scanned scorecard history.
• Compete — Create or join competitions and tournaments with other Cardie users.

We may add, modify, or remove features at any time. We will notify you of material changes that affect your use of the service.

4. Free and Premium Tiers

4.1 Free Tier

Scanning, round history, shareable summaries, and basic statistics are available for free with no limits on the number of rounds.

4.2 Premium Tier

Cardie Premium includes additional features such as handicap calculation, handicap certificates, the ability to create competitions and tournaments, advanced insights, and course performance comparisons. Premium is available as a monthly or annual subscription.

4.3 Pricing

Current pricing is displayed in the App before purchase. Prices may vary by region and are shown in your local currency as determined by Apple App Store or Google Play.

4.4 Billing

All payments are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play in-app purchases. Cardie does not directly collect payment information. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.

4.5 Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple or Google subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access to Premium features until then. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods; refund requests should be directed to Apple or Google.

4.6 Free Users in Competitions

Free users may join competitions and tournaments created by Premium users. Joining gross score (non-handicap) events is free. Participating in net score (handicap-adjusted) events and creating competitions or tournaments requires a Premium subscription.

5. Your Content

5.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of the content you create and upload, including scorecard photos, round data, and competition entries.

5.2 License to Cardie

By using the App, you grant Cardie a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, process, store, and display your content as necessary to provide and improve the service. This includes processing scorecard images through our recognition system and displaying your rounds in competitions. This license exists only for as long as your account is active and terminates when your data is deleted following account deletion.

5.3 Shared Content

When you share a round summary or participate in a competition, certain information (your name, scores, and round highlights) is visible to other users you share with or compete against. Competition leaderboards are visible to all participants in that competition.

5.4 Training Data

Scorecard images may be used to improve our scorecard recognition system. When used for this purpose, images are processed in aggregate and are not associated with your identity. If you no longer wish for your data to be used in this way, you may delete your account at any time — all personal data including scorecard images will be removed within 30 days as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Handicap

6.1 Not an Official Handicap

The Cardie handicap is calculated based on your scanned scorecard history and is intended for amateur and social use among Cardie users. It is not an official World Handicap System (WHS) handicap and is not issued by or affiliated with any national golf association, the R&A, or the USGA.

6.2 Accuracy

We strive for accuracy in score extraction and handicap calculation, but we do not guarantee that either is error-free. You are responsible for reviewing and confirming your scores after each scan. Your handicap is based on the data you provide and confirm.

6.3 Handicap Certificate

Premium users can export a handicap certificate as a PDF. This certificate reflects your Cardie handicap and scanned round history. It is a Cardie document, not an official handicap certificate, and its acceptance for tournament registration is at the discretion of the tournament organizer.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Submit fabricated or manipulated scorecards
• Create multiple accounts to manipulate handicaps or competition results
• Interfere with the operation of the App or its infrastructure
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
• Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the App by automated means
• Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

8. Competitions and Tournaments

8.1 Organizers

Premium users may create competitions (recurring events among friends) and tournaments (one-time or series events). As an organizer, you are responsible for communicating rules and managing disputes within your event.

8.2 Participants

By joining a competition or tournament, you agree to the event rules set by the organizer. Your name, scores, and handicap (if applicable) will be visible to other participants on the leaderboard.

8.3 Disputes

Scoring disputes within competitions should be resolved between participants and the organizer. Cardie provides the platform but does not adjudicate scoring disputes or competition outcomes. If you believe a participant has submitted fraudulent scores, contact the organizer or report it to support@cardie.golf.

8.4 No Gambling

Cardie is not a gambling platform. Competitions and tournaments are for sport and social purposes. You may not use Cardie to facilitate wagering or gambling in any form that violates applicable law.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 Cardie's IP

The App, its design, branding, logos, and underlying technology are owned by Mapraow Labs Pte. Ltd. or its licensors. You may not use our trademarks or branding without prior written permission.

9.2 Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the App, you grant us the right to use them without restriction or compensation. You are not obligated to provide feedback.

10. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cardie disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• The App will be available at all times or without interruption
• Score extraction from scorecards will be 100% accurate
• Handicap calculations will be accepted by any third party
• Data will never be lost (you are encouraged to export your data periodically)

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cardie's total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to Cardie in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Cardie shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

These limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you. In such cases, our liability is limited to the minimum extent permitted by law.

12. Termination

12.1 By You

You may delete your account at any time through the App's account settings. Upon deletion, your personal data and scorecard images will be deleted within 30 days as described in our Privacy Policy.

12.2 By Cardie

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we are required to do so by law. We will provide notice where reasonably possible before termination, unless the violation requires immediate action.

12.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your license to use the App ends. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Governing Law, and Dispute Resolution) will survive.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If a dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, either party may submit it to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

For claims under US$10,000, we encourage resolution through correspondence with support@cardie.golf before initiating formal proceedings.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the App after the updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using the App and delete your account.

16. General

Entire agreement — These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Cardie regarding your use of the App.

Severability — If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

No waiver — Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision.

Assignment — We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. You may not assign your rights under these Terms.
